Opened in 2016 by theGiovannetti family, La Trattoria brings a little piece of Rome and Venice to the Overberg. Lionello Giovannetti grew up with food and family at the heart of life. After time in the gelato world and training at Italy's premier pizza-making academy, the family settled in Stanford and launched the beloved House of Don Gelato.
Today, La Trattoria invites you to gather around the table – the Italian heart of the home – forhandmade pastaandwood‑fired pizzaprepared as Nona and Mamma used to make it. Only the freshest ingredients are used (nothing frozen – except the gelato), and even the mozzarella is made in‑house.
